Ryan got his first taste of event marketing tagging along with his father when he worked at Fenway Park. He was there the first time a concert was scheduled at the venerable baseball park, and liked the experience so much he decided to make it a career.
After completing his degree at University of New Hampshire, he went right into event management, working at sites like the DCU Center in Worcester, MA; the Whittemore Center at his alma mater, and the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce.
He now is responsible for all Mad*Pow conferences and other external events, continuing to immerse himself in the moment right before an event kicks off because “You get to take in the venue as you envisioned it, and it’s the last moment of rest until the event wraps.”
